INTENSIVE SEMESTER COURSE OF POLISH LANGUAGE AND CULTURE

Program Overview

The Intensive Semester Course of Polish Language and Culture at the University of Gdańsk provides immersive language training for students of all levels. By covering 25 hours per week of instruction, the program aims to develop students' linguistic abilities, enhance their understanding of Polish culture, and prepare them for effective communication in various life aspects. Upon completion, students receive a certificate acknowledging their proficiency in Polish at the corresponding level.

Degree Overview:

The Intensive Semester Course of Polish Language and Culture is a program offered by the Academic Centre of Polish Language and Culture at the University of Gdańsk. It is designed for individuals who want to learn Polish language and culture from scratch or continue their studies at an appropriate level (A2, B1, B2, C1, C2). The program aims to provide intensive language training from Monday to Friday, covering 5 lesson hours per day.

Objectives:

The program aims to:

• Develop linguistic communicative competences in different spheres of life – private, educational, professional.
• Develop the ability to apply linguistic knowledge (grammar, vocabulary, spelling) in communicative activities.
• Acquire the ability to choose the appropriate course of action to maximize the effectiveness of their language communication.
• Acquire specific knowledge about Poland and Polish culture.
Participants receive a certificate of completion of the course.

Other:

• The course is offered during the winter or summer semester of the academic year (October-January/February or February/March-June).
• The current course runs from 21.02.2024 till ca.
07.2024.
• The next course will run from 01.10.2024 till February 2025.
• Classes are held 5 days a week, 5 lesson hours a day (mostly at 16:00-20:15).
• The total number of hours is 450 (academic hour = 45 min).
• The number of hours per week is 25.
• The price of the course is 12000 PLN or 4 monthly installments of 3000 PLN.
• The price includes classes, course materials, and a completion certificate.
• The default form of the course is stationary.
An online course will be opened for a minimum of 4 persons.
• The program does not guarantee a place in a student dormitory.
• On completion of the course, the student will be able to understand written texts and oral statements, communicate in everyday situations, hold conversations, and participate in discussions.

The tuition fee is 12000 PLN or 4 monthly installments of 3000 PLN.
