Degree Overview:
The Specialization in Hotel Management is designed for individuals without prior academic degrees seeking training in this field, as well as graduates and professionals aiming to expand their career opportunities. The program addresses the evolving nature of hotel management, moving away from function-optimized approaches to a more systemic and integrated model focused on minimizing costs and maximizing system operations. It emphasizes customer satisfaction as a key driver of quality and improvement. The program explores seven key interrelated issues: Administration and business management; Strategic management of human resources; Quality management in tourism businesses and destinations; Management techniques and organizational leadership; Integration of business management systems; Hotel Business Management; and Food and Drinks Management. Specific objectives include providing a full understanding of hotel company organization, structure, and management; developing expertise and leadership skills for responsible hotel management; defining, analyzing, and developing lodging options and their management processes; defining, analyzing, and developing marketing processes using new technologies and techniques; encouraging critical thinking and analytical skills regarding tourism business problems; and providing skills for leadership in logistics, operations, economic, financial, marketing, and human resource management within the hotel and restaurant industry. Upon successful completion, students receive a Specialization in Hotel Management degree awarded by the enrolling university.

The Hotel Management program consists of 41 credits, divided into two parts:
- Part 1: Subjects (31 credits): This part provides a comprehensive overview of the tourism sector, covering theoretical, conceptual, and historical foundations, along with organizational, social, and technological implementations. The subjects are structured in a pedagogical sequence progressing from simple to complex concepts. Each subject is divided into units or chapters with printed materials for study and assessment. - Food and beverage management (6 credits)
- Management techniques and organizational leadership (3 credits)
- e-Business and its Integration with Corporate Systems Management (5 credits)

- Part 2: Final Project (10 credits): This part, required for Specialization degrees, involves the development of a final project that can be undertaken concurrently with Part 1.
