Program Outline

Degree Overview:

The Master in Project Management in Architecture and Urban Planning is designed to train professionals in project development and management within the fields of architecture and urban planning, with a strong emphasis on management principles. It aims to equip professionals from various backgrounds (not just architecture) with the necessary management knowledge and tools to successfully develop urban architectural projects. The program offers a comprehensive and specialized training plan suitable for all professionals involved in urban intervention projects. The program uses a theoretical and practical, individual and group training model, with professors and professionals certified in IPMA, ensuring international professional recognition. A key aspect is the hands-on experience of creating a real project using a rigorous methodology of exercises and applied theory. Students interact with professionals from different areas and countries, fostering a global perspective while maintaining their professional identity. The Master's degree is structured into three modules: design, management, and administration of urban architectural projects. These modules can be studied in parallel to understand the interconnectedness of project design, management, and direction, culminating in a feasible preliminary project draft. The program is aimed at professionals interested in development, administration, and management teams for urban architectural projects, with a focus on societal impact and improved quality of life. Graduates are trained for executive positions in companies and governments, possessing comprehensive knowledge of resource administration in architecture and urban planning projects. Successful completion leads to a Master in Project Management in Architecture and Urban Planning degree issued by the enrolled university, and potentially an IPMA Level D certification (for American residents). Project presentations before FIDBAN (International Entrepreneurs and Investors Network) are also a possibility for securing financing.
