Admission Requirements

Entry Requirements:

The direct access route for enrollment in the Master's program is to hold a university degree (graduado) in any of the following fields: Biomedical Sciences, Biology, Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, Pharmacy, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, or Nutrition. If there are more applications than available places, the academic and professional curriculum of all candidates will be reviewed to establish objective selection criteria. Personal interviews will also be conducted to ensure alignment between the student's expectations and the program's curriculum. These interviews (in-person or online) will cover:

  • The student's professional interests.
  • Their interest in this program.
  • Their reasons for choosing this program.
  • Their learning expectations.
  • Their future expectations.
  • For students with official Spanish university degrees: A certified photocopy of the university degree or degree homologation document, or a certified photocopy of the receipt for payment of degree issuance fees, and a certified photocopy of the academic transcript of the university studies taken are required. All applicants must submit:
  • A passport-sized photograph.
  • A photocopy of their national identity document or passport.
  • An updated curriculum vitae.
  • A letter of motivation.
  • If the original documentation is not in Spanish, a certified translation into Spanish of the university degree and academic transcript is required. Admission criteria include a weighted assessment of professional and research experience. Specific percentages are assigned to:
  • Academic record (25%).
  • Personal interview (25%).
  • Supplementary university education (15%).
  • Work experience in related fields (15%).
  • Research experience (10%).
  • Two letters of recommendation (10%).
  • 70% of places are reserved for graduates of Spanish universities. 30% are reserved for students from the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) with a degree, and those from outside the EHEA whose qualifications are deemed equivalent to a Spanish degree and allow postgraduate study in their home country. Exceptionally, if places exceed demand, students who don't meet the minimum requirements may be considered conditionally upon fulfilling them before the program starts. Both pre-enrollment and enrollment are done virtually.
