Computer science engineering is one of the most demanded professional fields worldwide, including Europe, therefore there is a real need for competent and well-trained specialists. The graduates will be able to work in application and web development, database design and management and design and maintenance of computer networks.

Short Description

The aim of the undergraduate training in computer science is to train professionals who are able to perform the design and development tasks of data and program systems of technical and information infrastructure systems and services, as well as to solve their installation and operation tasks. The specialty of the computer science engineer training at the University of Nyíregyháza is that we devote a large number of hours to practicing the operation tasks of computer networks and the development tasks of the IoT (internet of things). Of course, modern program development technologies are also part of the curriculum. The practical training is facilitated by the involvement of software development companies operating in the region.

Description of the Selection and the Entrance Examination Process

THE ADMISSION PROCEDURE CONSISTS OF THE FOLLOWING PARTS: • online interview (20-25 minutes)
• evaluation of application documents

The application procedure is based on an evaluation system of 100 points (50 points are given for motivation and educational background, and the other 50 points for language proficiency and intercultural preparedness according to the online interview). Following the formal check-up of the application documents, the staff of the institute will organize the oral entrance examination.
