Short Description

The aim of the training is to produce mechanical engineers who are capable of operating and maintaining machines and mechanical equipment, of introducing or applying engineering technologies, of organizing and directing work, and of performing technical development, research, and design of average complexity according to labor market needs, furthermore, they have sufficient in-depth theoretical knowledge to continue their training in the second cycle.

Description of the Selection and the Entrance Examination Process

THE ADMISSION PROCEDURE CONSISTS OF THE FOLLOWING PARTS:


  • online interview (20-30 minutes)
  • evaluation of application documents

The application procedure is based on an evaluation system of 100 points (50 points are given for motivation and educational background, and the other 50 points for language proficiency and intercultural preparedness according to the online interview). Following the formal check-up of the application documents, the staff of the institute will organize the oral entrance examination. Program Outline

The program provides sufficient in-depth theoretical knowledge for students to continue their training in a second-cycle program. The program is a Bachelor of Sciences (BSc) leading to the qualification of Mechanical Engineer. It focuses on equipping graduates with the skills to design and construct machinery, apparatus, equipment, and structures; develop production and assembly technology; develop diagnostic testing, maintenance, reliability, and repair technology; control engineering processes; organize servicing of mechanical equipment; operate and develop logistics and material handling systems; apply environmentally friendly technologies; create industrial environments; and design, manufacture, and operate vehicles and mobile machinery. The program includes specializations in Integrated Agricultural Technologies and Organic Farming Management.


Outline:

The program is structured across 7 semesters (3.5 years) and comprises 210 ECTS credits. The curriculum is divided into three main areas:

  • Basic Natural Scientific Knowledge (45 credits): This includes mathematics, mechanics, technical representation, engineering physics, general mechanics, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and technical chemistry.
  • Economic and Human Knowledge (21 credits): This covers economics, entrepreneurial economics, management, quality and environment management, occupational safety and security, energy management, economic law, and human resources management.
  • An obligatory 6-week internship at a suitable organization is also part of the program.
