The BSc (Hons) Biomedical Sciences program at Metropolitan College is a four-year, Bachelor of Science degree offered in Greek and English. It combines theory with practical and clinical training. The primary objective is to educate students in the understanding, diagnosis, and treatment of various diseases. The program covers all basic health sciences and offers extensive laboratory training in the required diagnostic laboratory techniques. Students learn techniques of Molecular Biology and Genetics and their medical applications, with an emphasis on the molecular etiology of diseases and their diagnosis using specialized methods. Between the 2nd and 3rd years, students complete a one-year placement in certified clinical settings to gain experience in a professional clinical environment. Graduates can apply for professional qualifications in the European Union through the UK's Health Professions Council (HPC) or the Institute of Biomedical Sciences (IBMS). The program is the first and only British University Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences offered in Greece with certification from the Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS). It's also the only college with graduates registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Graduates can enroll in the second year of medical studies at universities abroad.
