Program Outline

Degree Overview:

The Master of Science in Environmental Engineering at Hochschule Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences is a program designed to address the significant challenges of environmental and climate protection, sustainability, energy transition, and resource conservation. The program acknowledges that these challenges extend beyond environmental engineering, encompassing the transformation of entire value-added chains, from raw materials and energy supply to sustainable construction, production, and a circular economy. The program aims to equip future engineers with a broad methodological knowledge base and subject-specific expertise for environmentally conscious practices. It builds upon bachelor's programs in Environmental and Process Technology and Energy and Environmental Technology, but also offers specialization options for students from other engineering fields. The program's foundation lies in the research- and method-oriented Simulation and Experimental Engineering master's program, combining energy, environmental, and process engineering topics with cutting-edge methodology courses and aspects of digital transformation. The program offers specializations in Energy Engineering and Process Engineering.
