Advanced Certificate in Applied Security and Risk Management

Who is it for?

Admission

You must possess a High School Diploma from an accredited school as evidenced by an official high school transcript showing the graduation date. In order to successfully follow the course of study and truly benefit from this premium program, you should be proficient with basic security concepts which you will prove by submitting a professional resume and three relevant references.


You must have good command of spoken and written English language to efficiently follow lectures, use resources, complete tests and assignments. In case we were not able to clearly establish your eligibility, the admission team might ask you to submit additional proof, such as documents and/or references.

  • Researching internal and external security threats that can affect businesses and learning how to identify and address them. Exploring incident economics and the Incident Butterfly Effect Principle. Thoroughly analyzing the concepts of vulnerability and resilience, both as actual measures and as a mindset.

Security Strategies And Resource Management (#SEC-ASRM03)

  • Gaining thorough understanding of the seven essential elements of a security system, learning to develop and manage each of the elements and realizing how they blend-in together to achieve the best results in addressing both the anticipated and the unanticipated threats. Researching the best practices of securing crucial corporate processes and assets by preventing risks, responding to incidents, and recovering from crisis’ and disasters.

Protection Of Digital Assets & Information (#SEC-ASRM04)

Degree Overview:

The Advanced Certificate in Applied Security and Risk Management is a distance learning program offered by the Swiss Alpine Center. The program aims to blend security strategies with international corporate practices, equipping participants with the knowledge and skills to effectively assess risk and vulnerabilities; plan, design, and manage security setups; manage complex processes and projects; align security programs with business strategies; cooperate with stakeholders; and lead security organizations in large commercial enterprises.

The program consists of eight courses:


Introduction To Corporate Security Management (#SEC-ASRM01):

This course introduces core security principles within a corporate context, covering corporate values, terminology, key competences, management techniques, challenges, and internal/external risks faced by commercial organizations.


Threats, Risks And Vulnerabilities (#SEC-ASRM02):

This module focuses on identifying and addressing internal and external security threats affecting businesses. It explores incident economics and the Incident Butterfly Effect Principle, analyzing vulnerability and resilience concepts.


Security Strategies And Resource Management (#SEC-ASRM03):

This course covers the seven essential elements of a security system, teaching participants how to develop and manage each element to address anticipated and unanticipated threats. It also explores best practices for securing corporate processes and assets through risk prevention, incident response, and disaster recovery. It addresses information security governance, network and system understanding, and the practical application of ICT security tools.
