Program Overview

Rowan University's five-year BA/MST program in Subject Matter Education (K-12) History prepares aspiring educators with a Bachelor of Arts in History, Education, and New Jersey teacher certification. The program emphasizes critical thinking, practical skills, and persuasive communication for careers in elementary, middle, and high school teaching. It includes a full year of clinical practice mandated by New Jersey and is available to international students in the Spring and Fall terms.
