The primary goal of the lecturing team is to see you become an excellent care provider, who has a firm and current knowledge of the acute and chronic physical conditions and diseases affecting children.

Teaching & Assessment
How You Will Learn
A variety of teaching and learning methods are used throughout the program, including student-centered, flexible, and modern approaches.
How You Will Be Assessed
Modules use formative and summative assessment, including group seminars and presentations, essays, interpersonal skills analysis, portfolio of evidence, examination, map of patient/client experience, reflective essays, community health profile, learning statement, and reflective incident recording.
Entry Requirements
- GCSE English Language and mathematics at grade 4/C or above
- Functional Skills Level 2 in English and maths and Adult Literacy and Numeracy are also accepted
- A-levels: BCC-BBC
- T-levels: P (C+ in the Core) – M
- Access to HE: 15 Credits at Distinction & 30 at Merit
- CACHE Technical Level 3 and Level 3 Extended Diploma: C - B
- OCR Cambridge Technical & Edexcel/Pearson BTEC Level 3 (National) Extended Diploma: MMM – DDM
- Scottish Highers: BBBC-BBBB
- Irish LC Highers: B1, B2x3 – B2x2, A2x2
- Other experience: NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care (Pre 2014 with 2 years health care setting work experience, post 2014 alongside another Level 3 qualification)

Returning to Education
If you are over 21 and returning to study after being in relevant employment for a minimum of 3 years and do not meet the published entry requirements for Year 1 of our degree courses, please do not assume you are not qualified to join us.
