This course provides participants with a toolkit of techniques to foster an environment of team-working and collaboration in a project-based setting. Participants will explore the principles and practices underpinning effective communication, collaboration and conflict management, as well as building and awareness of reflective and reflexive thinking.

How you will learn
This short course can be delivered either online (via Zoom) or face-to-face over two days.

The course includes a variety of interactive exercises and maximises opportunities for discussion, networking and collaboration.
Participants are encouraged to share their thoughts, reflections, and experiences throughout the course with an emphasis on how the learning can be seen in and applied to the workplace environment.
How you will be assessed
Participants will complete a number of formative assessment activities throughout the course, allowing them to consolidate and reflect on their learning.

Tuition Fees

Tuition fees are set annually and are subject to review each year. The University may therefore raise tuition fees in the second or subsequent years of a course, in line with inflation and/or the maximum permitted by law or Government policy. Students will be notified of any changes as soon as possible.

- Purchase order and any additional details to be quoted on invoice.
If you have not conducted business with the University of Cumbria before, please be aware that both of us may have administrative procedures required to set up our respective customer/supplier accounts and the time taken to complete these may impact on the availability of places on your preferred course.

On receipt of your booking and confirmation that we can accommodate you, we will send a link to take your payment.
Payment, cancellation and changes
- Bookings, including purchase orders (if applicable), to be received at least four weeks ahead of course start date.
- At our discretion, late bookings may be accepted. Please contact us to check whether we have a place for you or before sending a purchase order.
- Invoices (for customers paying by purchase order) or a payment link (for customers paying by credit card) will be issued four weeks before the course once delivery is confirmed (or immediately on receipt of an accepted late booking) and will be due for payment immediately. Your place will not be confirmed until payment is received in full.
- In the event that a booked participant is unable to attend, substitutions may be made at no cost. UoC must be notified of the substituted names prior to the course commencing. No substitutions will be accepted once the course is in progress.
- In the event of a substitute not being provided for a cancelled participant place, the unfilled place will be charged for.
- Any no-shows during the course will be charged for.
