Course Structure
What you will learn
The programme will introduce you to industry standard terminology associated with projects and their delivery. The content is linked to the Association for Project Management Body of Knowledge so you can be assured that you are developing knowledge and understanding that is relevant to a range of working environments.
Year one
This short course includes a single module with a single assessment, taught one day a week over 4 weeks with assessment taking place on the final afternoon, the course provides a useful introduction to Project Management and Higher Education.
- Introduction to Project Management: With content aligned to the APM's latest version of their Body of Knowledge, this module provides an overview of industry standard project management terminology.
Teaching and Assessment
How you will learn
Learning takes place, live, with a tutor and incorporates a blend of theory and individual and group activities designed to reinforce concepts and develop your understanding. The learning materials are all available electronically so that learners can read ahead or re-visit topics that they have already covered. Additionally, self-assessment quizzes are available to enable you to check that you are understanding the content ahead of the final week assessment.
How you will be assessed
Assessment takes the form of a 1-hour test that consists of multiple-choice questions and some short-written answer questions. Questions can be on any of the topics covered in the delivery and, depending up how the course is delivered, the test could be taken online or in person. The test is open book, meaning that you can have access to you notes when answering the questions.

Overview
Tuition fees are set annually and are subject to review each year. The University may therefore raise tuition fees for students commencing the second or subsequent years of a course, in line with an annual inflation and/or the maximum permitted by law or Government policy.
