Course Overview
The aim of this module is to enable students to achieve an in-depth awareness of the issues relating to the safeguarding of vulnerable adults and the importance of multi-agency working in this area of expertise.

Entry Requirements
- Evidence of prior successful study at underpinning level.
- All applicants must complete a pre-entry study skills package such as HeadStart Plus if they are new to this level of study or have had a break from study for a period of 4 years.

The decision to offer a place on the programme is at the discretion of the module leader. There is full commitment to equal opportunities criteria.

Learning Outcomes
On successful completion, students will be able to:
- Critically analyse and categorise different ways that a vulnerable adult's welfare can be affected by abuse and neglect.
- Critically reflect upon the effectiveness of multi-agency working in the legislative framework concerning safeguarding vulnerable adults.
- Discuss the skills that individuals need to be effective practitioners of multi-agency working.
- Critically analyse how learning from this module has transformed their understanding of their practice.
