- Palliative and end-of-life care fundamentals: Explore the core concepts and principles of palliative and end-of-life care, with a focus on the vital roles played by health and social care professionals.
- Holistic assessment and frameworks: Analyse comprehensive local and national assessment tools and frameworks designed to guide effective practice in palliative and end-of-life care.
- Pain and symptom management: Deepen your understanding of pain and symptom management approaches in order to assess, attempt to treat and to recognise where onward referral to other specialities is required.
- Psychosocial and spiritual dimensions: Explore the psychosocial and spiritual aspects of care management, recognising the importance of making reasonable adjustments to meet individual care needs.
- Therapeutic communication and ethics: Enhance your therapeutic communication skills and explore the philosophical, legal, and ethical considerations that arise in palliative and end-of-life care.

To enrol in this module, you must meet the following requirements:
- Hold a recognised qualification as an assistant practitioner, nurse associate, registered nurse, or allied health professional.
- Demonstrate the ability to successfully complete coursework at the specified academic level. If you have concerns about your academic readiness, please contact the programme lead. Support resources are available to assist you.
- Be prepared to complete the required assessments.
