Certificate HE Practice Development

Course Overview

The CertHE Practice Development is a flexible programme designed to meet the professional development needs of a broad range of health care professionals, including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nurses, paramedics, assistant practitioners, and health/social care workers. The programme can be tailored to suit individual needs and schedules, with options to study at one of our vibrant campuses or complete the course entirely by distance learning.

Course Summary

This programme provides a flexible, modular structure for negotiating a programme of study that provides a coherent scheme and progression route, recognizing and valuing prior experience and learning. It will provide knowledge and understanding of the concepts and principles underpinning practice, as well as the ability to interpret and apply evidence to practice.

Entry Requirements

  • Evidence of competence in English Language and a wide range of study at GCSE level
  • One GCE A2 level or equivalent, plus evidence of recent study in an additional subject to a similar level
  • Pre-entry study skills package and additional personal tutor and student adviser support and meetings may be required
