Program Overview

BSc (Hons) Practice Development (Top up)

This top-up degree is designed for experienced practitioners in health or social care who wish to upgrade their diploma to a degree. The program provides a stimulating and engaging learning experience, equipping students with the knowledge and skills to be innovators in their field.

Course Structure

The program offers flexibility, allowing students to choose bespoke modules to suit their individual needs. Students can select whether to study full-time or part-time, on-campus, or through distance learning. The program can be taken gradually, starting with a single module, building towards a University Advanced Diploma (60 credits), and then a full degree (120 credits).

Entry Requirements

Applicants who do not hold 120 level 5 credits may be allowed entry to the program if they demonstrate equivalent knowledge gained through relevant work-based qualifications and/or experience. This decision is at the discretion of the program leader and does not constitute the award of credit via APEL.

Fees and Funding

Tuition fees are set annually and are subject to review each year. The University may raise tuition fees in the second or subsequent years of a course, in line with inflation and/or the maximum permitted by law or government policy.
