Course Overview

Our integrated foundation year course has been designed so that during your first year of study, you will gain the confidence and the essential university skills you need to progress onto our degree level programme. You’ll then develop a firm foundation in policing theory and practice, whilst strengthening your knowledge and skills in assessing situations, making decisions, solving problems, interpreting legislation and procedure, and applying an ethical approach to policing.

Some of the assessments within the pre-join degree have been designed to reflect the professional requirements of report and document writing within policing.
