Module - Respiratory Health Assessment Level 6

This Degree level module is part of the Institute of Health's Practice Development Framework. As a registered nurse or allied health professional and as part of your continuing professional development, the module will develop your ability to assess, recognise and manage the healthcare needs of patients presenting with respiratory conditions such as asthma and COPD.

What you will learn

• Revise the anatomy and physiology of the respiratory system
• Pathophysiological changes of respiratory conditions
• Assessment, diagnosis and management of respiratory conditions

Formative activities will explore and revise your knowledge on the respiratory system. Diagnosis, assessment and management of respiratory conditions.

Essay on focused on your chosen respiratory condition

Entry Requirements

To be eligible to study this module, you must be a registered nurse or allied health professional. If you have studied the equivalent module at Level 7 (HCPD7087) then you cannot also study this Level 6 version. To be eligible to study this module, you must demonstrate the ability to study at this level and commit to attempting the assessment. When taken as part of a specific named award, the module content and assessment must be focussed towards the subject of that award.

Tuition fees are set annually and are subject to review each year. The University may therefore raise tuition fees in the second or subsequent years of a course, in line with inflation and/or the maximum permitted by law or government policy.
