Admission Requirement

You can start your desired study programme at IU International University of Applied Sciences if you meet the requirements.


  • Completed, undergraduate degree with 240 ECTS credits in Engineering or an Engineering related subject
  • Your degree must be from a state or state-recognised higher education institution/university
  • You must have achieved a final grade of at least “satisfactory” or Grade C equivalent in your previous undergraduate degree

English language skills

We accept the following English language skills certificates:


  • TOEFL (minimum 80 points)
  • IELTS (minimum Level 6)
  • Duolingo English Test (minimum 95 points)
  • Cambridge Certificate (minimum Grade B)

Proof must not be older than five years.


Alternative ways to prove your English language skills:


  • Educational background: If your previous studies were conducted in English, you are exempt from providing an official test. Simply submit your high school or university transcripts indicating that English was the language of instruction, or provide a medium of instruction letter.
  • If you are from a country where English is the official and educational language, your passport can serve as proof of English proficiency.
