Adolescent Young Adult (AYA) Education
Teach an array of subjects in Grades 7-12
The University of Findlay's AYA Education Program prepares students for a career in teaching junior high and high-school aged students with the ability to double major in education and their chosen field. The College's philosophy of embedding theory into practice requires students to begin working with students in classrooms during their freshman year. More extensive field experience in the sophomore and junior years prepares students for student teaching senior year.

The University of Findlay's College of Education prepares students to become teachers through:

- Assisting in finding jobs before graduation
Licensure Areas
Licensure is offered in the following areas of adolescent/young adult (AYA) education:
Grades 7-12:
- AYA Integrated Language Arts
- AYA Integrated Mathematics
- AYA Integrated Science - Teach all science
- AYA Life Science - Teach science involving living things (biology, animal sciences, etc.)
- AYA Integrated Social Studies
Accreditation
The College of Education is accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP). Programs are approved by the Ohio Department of Higher Education.
