EDSP 615 Differentiated Instruction
Course Description
This course has been designed to assist classroom teachers to develop elements of differentiated instruction and explore how to integrate them with a STE(A)M instructional practice. This course will provide an overview to the application of differentiated instruction for all grade levels while focusing on the state and national standards. It includes a survey of current practice and trends, methods and strategies that emphasize systematic and sequential organization for differentiation, as well as hands-on experiences, relevant materials, age-appropriate activities, cross-disciplinary planning. Candidates will focus on problem solving, critical thinking and application skills. Candidates will be required to prepare STE(A)M educational materials, complete online assignments integrating technology, and analyze the classroom, their students and their instruction using multiple criteria. There will be a heavy emphasis on technology-supported instruction.
