What is voice training?
Your voice not only delivers your message – it can say a lot about you. Like it or not, people make judgments based on the way you communicate; in short, your professional success will depend on your speaking skills. Our voice training programme is designed for both native and non-native speakers of English. The training can focus on very specific aims and can help you to:
- Speak with greater authority and confidence
- Reduce problems caused by an accent
- Improve individual sounds to be clearer
Who Can Benefit from Voice and Accent Training?
Voice training is for anyone who needs to be a successful communicator but who feels that one or more aspects of their speech prevent them fully achieving this.
People from a wide range of professions have taken voice training, including executives, politicians, lawyers, sales personnel, consultants, doctors, academics and call centre staff.
If you would like an intensive face-to-face course, our Voice & Accent Training Combination course provides 10 hours of one-to-one training + 15 group hours of Business & Professional English 25+.
Course content
English accent training teaches you new sounds and speech habits. A typical session involves work on:
- Breathing and the way you hold your body
- Tongue position when speaking
- Mouth muscles
- Ability to copy and recognize RP* sounds
(*RP stands for ‘Received Pronunciation’. It is the term used for the standard British non-regional accent.)
The lessons also involve relaxation exercises, voice drills and workouts. Trainers pay attention to accent, and also to rhythm, stress and intonation patterns.
Your trainers
The programmes are delivered by professional voice and accent coaches who have a master’s qualification in voice studies. They have hundreds of hours of voice training experience, working with clients from numerous countries across Asia, Europe, Africa, the Americas and the Indian subcontinent.

Non-native and native speakers who have a good level of English may choose voice training to soften an accent.

Course details
- Location: Online or London, Holland Park Gardens, for people who have booked a group course
- Maximum group size: 1
- Minimum age: 25 face to face, 18 online
- Minimum 5 hours. These hours can be spread over a number of days
- Sessions must be taken within 12 months of booking start date
- Cancellation policy: 48 hours
- Face-to-face combination course includes 10 hours per week
- Flexible start dates based on availability
- Your first session date will be confirmed after booking
Fees
- 2025: £85 per hour online, £2200 for 1 week of face-to-face combination course
- Standard hours are from 08:00 - 18:00 UK time Monday to Friday. Contact us for evening and weekend sessions.
English Level
- 1: I do not speak any English
- 2: I can say and understand a few things in English
- 3: I can communicate simply and understand in familiar situations but only with some difficulty
- 4: I can make simple sentences and can understand the main points of a conversation but need much more vocabulary
- 5: I can speak and understand reasonably well and can use basic tenses but have problems with more complex grammar and vocabulary
- 6: I speak and understand well but still make mistakes and fail to make myself understood occasionally
