High School Preparation Course
Overview
The High School Preparation course is designed to help students develop the academic and language skills needed to transition into high school in Canada successfully. The course enhances English language proficiency and provides valuable insights into Canadian culture, making students feel more comfortable in their new learning environment.
Course Details
- Start dates: Every 1st Monday of the month
- Lessons per week: 20 lessons per week (15 hours)
- English Proficiency level: Elementary – Upper Intermediate
- Class time: 09:00 - 12:15
- Cultural programme: 10+ activities per week
- Lesson length: 45 minutes
- Course duration: 8 weeks
- Minimum age: 13-18 years old
- Max students per class: 15
Course Objectives
By the end of the High School Preparation course, students will acquire essential skills to begin their high school journey with confidence, including:
- Learning course-specific terminology to enhance understanding of different subjects
- Mastering presentation skills to develop and deliver ideas on various topics
- Exploring essay writing techniques and completing written assignments on time
- Discovering time management and organisational strategies
Course Materials
Students will receive a variety of study materials, including textbooks, worksheets, and online resources carefully selected by the academic team. These materials support the learning journey and ensure students are well-prepared for challenges in high school.

Upon completing the High School Preparation course, students will be fully prepared to start their life as high school students with confidence. They will enhance their academic skills, improve their English language proficiency, and learn how to adapt quickly to their new environment.
