Overview
The BSc in Computing is a three-year Level 7 qualification awarded by Quality & Qualifications Ireland (QQI). This program provides comprehensive training in the latest IT technologies and a deep understanding of key computer science principles, opening pathways to an IT career or further study in computing.

Entry Requirements
General Entry Requirements
International Applicants who are applying directly to the college must submit equivalent qualifications meeting the basic matriculation requirements below that are certified by NARIC Ireland.
Basic Matriculation Requirements
- All applicants must meet the basic matriculation requirements of a minimum of 5, O6/H7 grades, including a Language and and a minimum of O6/H7 in Mathematics.
FET Applicants
- Must hold a QQI level 5 Major Award in Information Technology.
English Language Entry Requirements
- IELTS 6.0/ B2+ CEFR or equivalent.
- PTE Academic computer-based English language test.
- PTE Test 59 points is equivalent to IELTS 6.0.
- TOEIC - 700-720 points is equivalent to an IELTS 6.0.
- Candidates whose first language is not English may be required to sit the Dorset College English Competency Test.

Assessment Method
A combination of module-appropriate assessment methods will facilitate the assessment of learning outcomes on the course including group work, presentations, examinations, and project work.

Protection of Enrolled Learners
Dorset College Dublin has arrangements in place under the HECA Protection for Enrolled Learners Scheme to ensure the Protection of Enrolled Learners (PEL) in the event of a cessation of programmes by the college.
