Career in Game Design (B.Sc.)

Your career prospects in ‘Game Design’

As a game designer, you can work in existing game studios, set up your own game studio or work independently or freelance. You can not only set out, pitch and present your ideas and visions in writing, but also present them artistically and graphically, e.g. as concept art, develop, test and balance prototypes of your games and implement prototypes in industry-standard game engines.

You understand past and current developments in the games industry and feel at home in all genres. You can be involved in the development of games, but you can also write about games or research video games in other professions, for example.

If you don't want to go straight into a job, your state-recognised Bachelor's degree will give you access to numerous Master's degree programmes in Germany and abroad, for example in game design and computer game science.

This was followed in 2010 by "Virtual Reality", the first degree programme in Germany to deal explicitly with virtual reality as a mass and entertainment medium. These years of experience, combined with the innovative CORE study model, form the foundation for the solid and practice-oriented education of our students.
