Program Overview


Music Therapy (B.A.)

Overview

The Music Therapy program at SRH University is designed for students who are passionate about music and working with people. The program focuses on the practical training of therapeutic and musical skills, with a theoretical basis in medicine, psychology, neuroscience, and musicology.


Study Content

The program covers a wide range of topics, including:


  • Theoretical foundations: psychology, medicine, neuroscience, therapeutic sciences, musicology
  • Therapy: music therapeutic approaches, active music therapy methods, receptive methods, talk therapy techniques
  • Music: piano and/or guitar, percussion, voice
  • Practice: two study-integrated internships, cooperation in the campus ambulance, group self-experience, and group supervision

Graduates of the Music Therapy program can work in various fields, including:


  • Psychiatric clinics, psychosomatic and psychotherapeutic clinics, facilities for mentally and/or physically disabled persons
  • Neurological specialist clinics, geriatric institutions, retirement homes

Tuition Fees

The tuition fees for the Music Therapy program are:


  • EU/EEA nationality including Switzerland, Western Balkans, and Ukraine: € 590/month
  • Non-EU/EEA nationality: € 4,140/semester
