Admissions and Enrolment

Admissions Process

To access the Master’s Degree in Materials Science and Engineering, bridging courses are established based on the student’s academic background:


  • In general, the following will not require complementary training: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Degrees in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Technology Engineering, Materials Engineering; Degrees in Nanotechnology.
  • The following degrees may require complementary training prior to the start of the Master’s Degree: Bachelor’s Degree in Physics; Pharmacy; Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology; Degrees in Geological Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Civil Engineering. Depending on the subjects they have taken, they will require a maximum of the following bridging courses: Inorganic Chemistry and Organic Chemistry; Materials and Biomaterials; Structural Determination (identification techniques).

The Master’s Admission Committee will evaluate each case individually to determine the required bridging courses to be taken by the candidate.
