Master of Multimedia Journalism (Global)
Overview
The Master of Multimedia Journalism (Global) is a two-year postgraduate course that combines journalism expertise with insight into human rights and international relations. This course is designed to equip students with strong reporting skills and a background in international relations and human rights, preparing them to become influential voices in an interconnected world.
Course Structure
This course builds on the 1.5-year Master of Multimedia Journalism to include specialist skills in international relations and human rights. Students can choose to focus their skills in an area of interest, such as sports or political reporting. In the final year, students will sharpen their research skills and analytical thinking through a professional journalism project or research dissertation.
Admission Criteria
Typically, applicants require a 3- or 4-year bachelor’s degree in an unrelated field from a recognised tertiary education institution OR a Graduate Certificate (applicants may be eligible for credit for recognised learning). Students who have completed a bachelor’s degree in journalism, or any previous versions of the course at Curtin University, are not eligible for entry to this course.
