Overview

This course will prepare you for advanced studies in health promotion or related fields. You'll learn how to:

• Implement health promotion strategies to address community needs and prevent disease
• Develop innovative solutions through critical and creative thinking
• Apply global health promotion perspectives and adhere to international standards

After completing this course, you'll be equipped for roles in health promotion, public health, and community health education.

What You'll Learn

• Apply principles and concepts of health promotion in a variety of contexts relevant to further learning and/or work in an unrelated field
• Apply critical and creative thinking and problem-solving skills relevant to health promotion to generate innovative solutions to problems
• Use technology appropriately to communicate effectively
• Consider global perspectives on health promotion and international health promotion standards
• Demonstrate respect for Indigenous values, cultures, and knowledges and consider Indigenous perspectives on health promotion
• Work professionally in teams and independently, and demonstrate life-long learning skills
