Mechanical Engineering Major (M ProEng)
Overview
This course is designed for graduates from a four-year Engineering undergraduate degree not accredited by Engineers Australia in a related discipline.
Course Description
Mechanical engineering involves the analysis, understanding, design and manufacture of components, devices and machines, often together with heat and fluid flows, that are integrated to create engineering systems.
Course Structure
- A full-time study load usually consists of 200 credits (approximately eight units) per year, with 100 credits (approximately four units) in each semester.
- The course is not suitable for graduates of a four-year undergraduate degree, with Engineers Australia accreditation in the same discipline.
- Those holding an EA accredited qualification and seeking a masters level qualification in the same discipline are encouraged to consider applying for entry to the Master of Philosophy or Master of Engineering Management.
- Applicants seeking entry who do not hold a four year Engineering degree are required to first complete the one-year Graduate Diploma in Professional Engineering.
