Master of Taxation

Overview

The Master of Taxation is a postgraduate degree that provides students with a comprehensive understanding of taxation principles, both in Australia and internationally. The course is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in the field of taxation, including tax planning, tax consulting, and tax research.


Admission Criteria

Applicants require a recognized bachelor degree (or equivalent) in the field of taxation or a related discipline, or a Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma in the field of taxation or a related discipline. In addition, applicants must meet Curtin's English language proficiency requirements.


Fees and Scholarships

The tuition fee for the Master of Taxation is $32,340* for domestic students. Scholarships are available for eligible students.

The Master of Taxation is offered at Curtin Perth.

Applications can be submitted online through the Curtin University website. The application deadlines are as follows:

Course Structure

The Master of Taxation comprises two levels. Students can choose to exit the degree early with a Graduate Certificate in Taxation Practice after completing four units (100 credits).


Professional Recognition and Accreditation

The Master of Taxation is recognized by the Tax Practitioners Board and the Tax Institute. Successful completion of this course may allow students to apply for membership with CPA Australia, the Tax Institute, Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand CAANZ.
