Fine Art Specialisation

Overview

The Fine Art Specialisation is an undergraduate specialisation that allows students to develop their creative abilities through hands-on studio-based learning in painting, drawing, print media, and/or sculpture. This specialisation complements creative arts and design disciplines and enables students to further their creative thinking and art-making skills.

  • Qualification: Fine Art Specialisation
  • Credit: A full-time study load usually consists of 200 credits (approximately eight units) per year, with 100 credits (approximately four units) in each semester.

Overview

Learn to be an artist with tutors who are all experienced, practising artists. Classes are hands-on and taught in art studios and workshops.


This specialisation complements creative arts and design disciplines and allows you to further your creative thinking and art-making skills. Students from all other disciplines, at all different skill levels, are welcome.


What’s a Specialisation?

A specialisation is a set of four units you can choose to complement your course. Most Curtin courses allow you to choose a specialisation from any academic area. Humanities specialisations, like this one, can give a useful balance to a course from business, law, science, engineering, or health disciplines.
