- Duration: Full-time study load usually consists of 200 credits (approximately eight units) per year, with 100 credits (approximately four units) in each semester.
Course Description
In this introduction to advertising design, students will research and explore a number of different creative strategies, then apply these to solve advertising briefs across a broad range of media. Students will also analyse existing advertising campaigns through looking at branding, campaigning, images, art direction and copywriting, and how the different elements contribute to the campaign as a whole.
Through a series of practical design projects and exercises held within a digital environment, students will be introduced to industry standard design technologies and software. Students will also explore the fundamental principles of form and function in typographic design.
What's a Specialisation?
A specialisation is a set of four units that students can choose to complement their course. Most Curtin courses allow students to choose a specialisation from any academic area. Humanities specialisations, like this one, can give a useful balance to a course from business, law, science, engineering or health disciplines.
