Overview
The Master of Midwifery is a postgraduate course that prepares students for a rewarding career in women's health, caring for mothers and babies through pregnancy, birth, and beyond. The course is offered internally and taken full-time over two years or part-time over a four-year period. Some units are available via external mode.

Admission Criteria
- All applicants must hold a recognised Bachelor's degree or graduate degree.
- Entry to this course is competitive and a strong academic achievement is required.
- It is essential that applicants have successfully completed a human biology-related unit with an anatomy and physiology focus at tertiary level.
- Domestic students who have not completed a tertiary unit in the above-mentioned area will be able to study the unit through the Health Sciences Graduate Entry Foundation course.
- Curtin University requires all students to demonstrate competency in English.
- In addition to satisfying Curtin University minimum English standard requirements for midwifery courses, all applicants must also demonstrate English language proficiency as specified in the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia's (NMBA) English language skills registration standard.
