Combining elements from courses Editing Essentials (MC101) and Effects Essentials (MC110), this five-day course provides a comprehensive introduction to the basics of editing within Media Composer.

• You will be able to take Avid Certified MC101 and MC110 examinations at the end of the course.

• Building a scene
• Trimming dialogue
• Reworking a scene
• Mixing sequence audio
• Approval and output
• Technical fundamentals
• Introduction to audio and visual effects
• Corrective effects
• High-resolution images
• Retiming
• Colour treating and correcting nesting multiple effects
• Multilayer effects
• Performance and rendering
• Keying and mattes
• 3D title animation with marquee.

To enrol on this course, you must have a basic knowledge of Mac OS X, computer navigation and editing language.
