Programme Details
What We Teach
LEARNING TIME
- Modules : 4 (Reading, Writing, Listening, Speaking)
- Contact hours in class : 4 hours daily
- Independent Online Learning : 2 hours daily (Self-Study)
- Total Learning Time : 102 hours
The Intensive English Programme is structured into 7 levels, taking students from complete basic level to being prepared to successfully complete an advanced course. Students will be placed in one of these 7 levels based on the results obtained in the APU English Competency Test:

- Level Starter - Basic
- Level 1 - Beginners
- Level 2 - Elementary
- Level 3 - Pre-Intermediate
- Level 4 - Intermediate
- Level 5 - Upper Intermediate
- Level 6 - Advanced
At each Level, 4 key skills are given special attention to:
- LEVEL STARTER (Designed for students with almost ZERO English proficiency)
Reading & Writing (RW), Speaking and Listening (SSP), Grammar (GRM) & Vocabulary Enhancement (VE) - LEVEL 1-6 (Embedded grammar in all skills)

- All fees are payable in USD. If payment is made in Ringgit Malaysia (RM), the current exchange rate of USD 1 = RM 4.50 as of 1st August 2023 will be used and is subject to adjustment, due to fluctuations in the currency exchange rate.
- For students continuing to APU Academic Programmes, payment of New Visa Application Fee, International Student Registration Fee, Course Fee, Miscellaneous Fees, Residence Fees and etc is required. Residence one off charge will be waived.
- Students are required to cancel their study visas 2 weeks before departing and RM 53 will be charged for cancellation.
- Deposits serve as the Personal Bond will be refunded upon completion of studies. The Deposits will not be refunded should any situation arise where the student is found to have either misused their visa or violated any regulations applicable to International Students in Malaysia. In addition, if students fail to cancel study visas 2 weeks prior to departure, the deposit will be forfeited as well.
- All Deposits will be refunded in Malaysian Ringgit (RM).

IELTS WORKSHOP FOR TEST PREPARATION****USD280 - RM 1,260 (2 Weeks - 16 Hours)
Prepare for the IELTS test and gain valuable test practice and exam structure. This is a 16-hours workshop designed for APLC IEP package students at intermediate, upper intermediate and advanced level, who need to prepare for the IELTS.
