What happens on the course?
7SA002: People, Policy and Practice: Decision Making in the 21st Century
In this module you will explore the challenges to policy making in contemporary society, from local to global. You will explore the relationship between the state and its citizens, looking at how “ordinary” people affect the policy environment, through formal processes such as voting, and informal processes, such as volunteering and community activism.
7SA003: Communities and the Economy
This module will examine the ways in which decisions regarding the allocation of resources impact on communities. Most notably, this includes areas such as social security, housing and health, though it also includes the distribution of resources through employment.

Entry Requirements
A Bachelor Honours degree (2.2 or above) in a Social Sciences-based subject from a UK University or overseas equivalent, or a professional qualification and/or experience considered to be equivalent; to be verified by the Course Leader.
International students will need IELTS 6.5 with a minimum score of 6.0 in every element (or equivalent).
