What happens on the course?

The aims of the BSc Building Surveying course are:


  • to enable you to gain the essential skills of Building Surveying focussing on design and technology, economics and law and the specific applications to refurbishment and property management.
  • to develop skills including team working, giving presentations, report writing, drawing and project understanding.
  • to advance your understanding of other construction professions by multi-disciplinary group projects concentrating on communication, delegation and leadership.

Entry Requirements

  • 96 UCAS points
  • A Levels - grades CCC / BCD to include Maths and either a Technology or Science-based subject.
  • BTEC L3 Extended Diploma or OCR Cambridge L3 Technical Extended Diploma - grades MMM in a science, technology, or engineering subject
  • Access to HE Diploma in science, technology, or engineering subject (60 credits) of which a minimum of 45 must be at Level 3 (96 UCAS point equivalence, minimum 45 credits at merit)
