You will explore topics such as social justice, child and young person development, and safeguarding.
At level 5, you will build on your previous study and will develop your analysis of contemporary issues in education, and psychological factors affecting educational achievement. You will also learn about youth culture and identity, further develop your understanding of research, and undertake a work placement in a setting of your choice during this year of study.
At level 6, you will be able to reflect on your own value systems, question concepts and theories you have encountered previously in your studies, and interrogate the assumptions underpinning research and your own professional practice.
