Examples of 3D Animation can be found in popular movies such as Frozen, Ice Age, How to Train your Dragon, and Sin City. This program provides a well-rounded curriculum and prepares students with the skills and competencies needed in pursuing a career in TV, movie production, video game animation, and other industries requiring 3D animation. Areas of study include storyboarding, character animation, modeling characters and scenes, texturing, special effects, lighting, and computer applications such as Autodesk 3D Studio Max or Maya, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, Zbrush, and Adobe After Effects. This program is offered in English.
- COMPUTING SUPPORT | 14 months (35 hours/week, includes internship) Individuals trained in computing support manage and install network resources, optimize computer performance, and troubleshoot computer problems. They will be able to analyze the architecture and operation of computer systems and provide service to clients in the workplace. This program teaches optimal use of software, the use of older and recent operating systems, the use of application software, creating and using databases, and the use of telecommunications. Areas of study include network management, developing programs, installing hardware and software, managing access, setting up resource sharing, troubleshooting, and computer optimization. This program is offered in French.
- INTERIOR DESIGN | 18 months (20 hours/week, includes internship) Interior Designers conceptualize and produce aesthetic, functional, and safe designs for interior spaces in residential, commercial, cultural, institutional, and industrial buildings. Computers are used to aid in drafting, color matching, and final product visualization. This program prepares students to conceptualize and produce aesthetic, functional, and safe designs for interior spaces in residential, commercial, cultural, institutional, and industrial buildings. Areas of study include interior design and decoration, color, space planning, CAD of interior designs and decorators, textiles and interior materials, furniture and accessories, lighting, and commercial and residential perspectives and renders. This program is offered in French or English.
- MICROCOMPUTER AND NETWORK SYSTEMS TECHNOLOGY | 15.5 months (25 hours/week, includes internship) Individuals trained in microcomputer and networking systems provide problem-solving services to network users. They are typically responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and administering the use of local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks, computer workstations, and connections to the internet. This program provides instruction and training on how to install, configure, and maintain microcomputers, operating systems, as well as cloud technology. Areas of study include technical support, Linux operating systems, network operating systems, managing an enterprise network, Microsoft-based systems, and cloud environments. We prepare students for jobs that demand proficiency with Microsoft products and technologies. In addition, Herzing College is a member of the Computer Technology Industry Association (CompTia). We also prepare students for proficiency in microcomputer hardware and operating systems. Because certifications are a reality in the computer industry, the Microcomputers and Networking Systems program contains course material for Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), Cisco CCENT, CompTia A+, and Network+, CompTia Cloud Essentials, and CompTia Linux+ certifications. This program is offered in English.
- SUSTAINABLE ARCHITECTURE | 24 months (25 hours/week, includes internship) Sustainable Architecture is a new approach to architectural design and construction that focuses on green construction technologies, renewable energy, and improving the energy performance of buildings.
