What is... Civil Engineering?
Civil engineers work on the design and construction of buildings and structures, highways, bridges, water supply and treatment systems. This course will equip you with the skills you need to work as a civil engineering technologist, carrying out much of the detailed analytical and design specifications in a building project.

Year Structure
- Each year of the course is delivered over two semesters with examinations at the end of each semester.
- At the end of Year 2, you can choose either Civil/Environmental or Structural Engineering options for Year 3.

Employment prospects are excellent. Career paths include opportunities in consulting engineering design offices, contracting, materials supply, and as building site managers. Some graduates can expect to be in private practice or working on behalf of national and local authorities.
