What is Civil Engineering?

Civil engineers design buildings, bridges, factories, power stations, communication towers, dams, stadiums, oil and gas rigs, and wind turbines. This course will equip students with the skills to carry out the design and construction of various engineering structures.

Study Abroad Opportunities

Students have an option to spend a semester abroad under the Erasmus course.

Work Placement

After completion of Year 3 and before entering final year, students have an opportunity to undertake a summer work placement with an engineering employer.

Minimum Entry Requirements

Successful completion of TU805 Engineering (General Entry) Year 1.

To qualify for Advanced Entry, applicants must be currently studying, completing, or have successfully completed, studies at Level 6, 7 or 8 in a Higher Education Institution (HEI) or an equivalent, in a related area.

Career Opportunities
