What our students say
Film & Broadcasting is a well-rounded course. It allowed me to understand both the practical aspects of film production, and the theoretical elements that support it. What has been particularly valuable for me is the strong alumni network actively working in the industry both at home and abroad.
What was great about studying Film & Broadcasting was the balance of theory and practice. My time at TU Dublin really helped shape the path I wanted to follow…My curiosity in documentary was well nurtured and, with the support of the lecturers, I was able to make my final-year project and go on to win the Next Generation category at the Guth Gafa International Film Festival.
The four years I spent at TU Dublin not only gave me the confidence to believe I could be a successful director, but also gave me the skills to compete amongst the best in the industry. I’m now a freelance director, passionate about telling stories with a social purpose. My latest BBC documentary has just been nominated for a UK Broadcast Award for Best Single Documentary.
Progression
On graduation, you may proceed to postgraduate studies leading to the award of MA, MPhil, or PhD at research institutes and universities worldwide.
