What is... Sports Management and Coaching?
This course is designed for students who are interested in developing a career in the fitness industry in a coaching or business role. Students will learn all the skills of sports management and coaching techniques, combined with the fundamentals of business and enterprise.
IT Requirements
While a medium spec PC/Laptop will suffice, a high spec would be a better investment for long-term use.
Professional Accreditation
This course is accredited on the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPS) Ireland as a REPS-accredited course. It will provide students with a Personal Trainer accreditation that is highly regarded throughout the fitness industry.

Leaving Certificate Requirements
- Minimum Number of Subjects: 5
- Minimum Grade in Maths: O6/H7/F2 or higher
- Minimum Grade in English OR Irish: O6/H7

Mature Applicants
Applications from mature students (23+) are welcome.
English Language Requirements

Advanced Entry
Advanced Entry applications are accepted to this course. To qualify for Advanced Entry, applicants must be currently studying, completing, or have successfully completed studies at Level 6, 7, or 8 in a Higher Education Institution (HEI) or an equivalent, in a related area.
Progression
On successful completion, students may advance to Year 4 of the following Level 8 course: Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Sports Management and Coaching.
