Program Objectives
The objectives of the MSc program are to provide students with:
- A framework for lifelong learning
- The skills necessary to critically evaluate cutting-edge scientific and technical developments related to environmental health and safety
- An in-depth understanding and knowledge in their chosen discipline area
- Competency in environmental health and safety
- Core risk management skills with the ability to further develop these skills
- The ability to plan, perform, analyze, and report hypothesis-driven research

The program is accredited by the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).
Minimum Entry Requirements
- An honors bachelor degree (2.2 grade or higher) or equivalent in a Science or Engineering discipline is required.
- At least five years of experience, at a managerial level, in an environmental health and safety discipline is required.
- Students will also need to show excellent communication skills within a risk-related work environment.
- International student applicants will need to provide evidence of their English language proficiency, with an overall IELTS score of 6.5 or better (with nothing less than 6 in each component).
