Overview
This one year conversion programme provides an opportunity for students who have successfully completed an Ordinary (3 Year) degree (NFQ Level 7) or honours (4 Year) degree (NFQ Level 8) in a different discipline (for example: Business, Science or Engineering) to attain an honours degree (Level 8) in Hospitality Management equivalent in a further single year of studies.

What is Hospitality Management?
This programme further develops the learners’ key skills, their strategic ability and introduces learners to the hospitality management discipline. The three-month hospitality industry placement over the summer months forms an integral part of this programme.
Minimum Entry Requirements
- Minimum Ordinary (3 Year) degree (Level 7 NFQ) or honours (4 Year) degree (Level 8 NFQ) in a different discipline or equivalent.
- Students will be selected on the basis of their academic results.
- Final selection may involve an interview.
English Language Requirements
- If English is not your first language you will need to provide evidence of your English language proficiency as detailed on our website.
- Applicants for this course should have a minimum IELTS (Academic Version) English Proficiency of 6 overall (or equivalent) with nothing less than 5.5 in each component.

This course is designed to enable graduates to gain employment in higher level positions within the burgeoning hospitality sector with varying degrees of responsibility. Graduates can expect to find employment in management positions in the world’s finest hotels, resorts, cruise lines, casinos, restaurants, bars, etc. and also overseeing special events and business conventions.
