What is Tourism Management?
The programme is a conversion course aimed at both professionals currently employed within the tourism industry and those from complementary backgrounds who wish to enter the tourism field. In this context it may be of particular interest to people coming from a heritage, languages, geography, marketing or business background.
This course aims to equip participants with the necessary expertise to manage, co-ordinate and develop tourism businesses and projects in Ireland and abroad. It is aimed at both professionals currently employed within the tourism industry and those from related fields. This dynamic programme encourages interaction between academics and industry practitioners from the national and international tourism sector.
Minimum Entry Requirements
Applicants should possess a bachelor degree at honours level (2.2 grade or higher) or equivalent. In addition, applicants may be required to complete an admission interview.
A personal statement and two references are required as part of the application.
If English is not your first language you will need to provide evidence of your English language proficiency as detailed on our website. Applicants for this course should have a minimum IELTS (Academic Version) English Proficiency of 6.5 overall (or equivalent) with nothing less than 6 in each component.

Schedule
The full-time course involves three days of lectures (14 hours) per week. Please note all lectures are delivered during the day (9 - 8pm). Some content may also be delivered as a teaching block and/or in a blended learning format.
Modules will be available as CPD modules. In addition to lectures students will undertake significant self-directed learning and research. The course also includes a Masters Induction week to introduce you to TU Dublin and to prepare you for learning at Masters level.
