Technology & Innovation Management (Food)
Overview
This course provides learners with an understanding of the management of the innovation process in a food business context.
Minimum Entry Requirements
- A Level 8 Honours degree in a related discipline or equivalent.
Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, the learner will:
- Demonstrate an understanding of the meaning of different forms of innovation (product, process, position and paradigm) and how each can contribute to organisational growth.
- Have an awareness and understanding of concepts, tools and frameworks required to successfully develop and launch new food products and services into a competitive marketplace on a sustainable basis at the company level.
- Have an understanding and be able to apply strategy, using different models for managing food innovation and food product development.
- Have an awareness of how to integrate different business functions and practices within the process of innovation and commercialisation of new food products.
- Have gained knowledge of skills & tools necessary for managing creativity, technology development and innovation in a food organisation.
