Description
The general purpose of the program is twofold. On the one hand, to help the student acquire in-depth knowledge in the field of specialization through (a) attending pedagogical courses at an advanced level, (b) studying relevant literature, and (c) interacting with the Members of the Department of Education and other students. On the other hand, the program aims to cultivate research skills through (a) attending specialized courses in quantitative and qualitative research, (b) conducting small-scale research within the framework of various courses or/and preparing a Master's Thesis, and (c) participating in seminars/conferences of research content.

Admission
Minimum requirement for admission to the postgraduate program is the possession of a degree (Bachelor's Degree) from a recognized university.
In addition, applicants must meet the following admission criteria:
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Certified Copy of Degree
- Certified Copy of Analytical Transcript
- Personal Statement of Goals and Research Interests (about 2 pages) - A letter in which the individual skills and abilities of the applicant, their biography, as well as their expectations from the program and how it will help them in their personal development and career advancement.
Evaluation
The evaluation of the course consists of a final examination and continuous assessment. Continuous assessment may include, among other things, weekly interactive activities, studies, positive participation in the course forum, etc.
The grade is calculated based on the weight of the final examination, continuous assessment, and the actual numerical grade received in these two assessments. Based on the grade of the courses, the semester average (GPA) of a student and the overall average (CPA) are calculated.
Graduation
The student must complete 90 ECTS and all program requirements.
Must complete courses, in the correct ratio of compulsory and elective, which amount to 90 ECTS credits.
A minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.0 is required for the entire study.
The student must successfully complete:
- Two Research and Evaluation courses (20 ECTS)
- Two courses from the Theoretical Foundations of Education (20 ECTS)
- Two compulsory courses in the direction (20 ECTS) and three elective courses in the direction (30 ECTS) (Total 50 ECTS)
*In case of choosing the Master's Thesis (30 ECTS), the student is exempt from 1 theoretical foundation course in education (10 ECTS) and 2 elective courses in the direction (20 ECTS).
Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the program, students will be able to:
- Deepen their knowledge in the field of specialization.
- Understand basic concepts, principles, and models of specialization and transfer this knowledge to the school context.
- Critically examine research results in specialization and their implications for problems faced by the school unit and the education system.
- Identify problems at the level of the school unit and the system and plan research to address them.
- Analyze educational problems critically, examining their sociological, psychological, and philosophical dimensions, and design action to address them.
- Take on leadership roles related to specialization, aiming to improve existing practices or introduce new procedures.
- Contribute to the modernization of practices applied in specialization, e.g., Special Education.
- Apply skills acquired to address everyday problems, e.g., student/system/program evaluation, planning and decision-making, communication with internal and external audiences, guidance, training, and development.
- Utilize human capital in introducing innovations and new practices and procedures.
- Act as agents of change and innovation and support improvement efforts.
